The “Casa Graziani” apartment, located at 3 Via del Borgo San Pietro, apartment 14, in Bologna, takes its name from the merchant Giovanni Battista Graziani, who commissioned the architect Alfonso Torreggiani to design the building in the eighteenth century, probably incorporating earlier service structures belonging to the adjacent Palazzo Bentivoglio. The date and attribution of the project, dating back to 1762, were established by art historians Corrado Ricci and Guido Zucchini in 1930.
Graziani was a shipping agent and, thanks to his frequent travels abroad, probably developed a particular sensitivity to art. After his death, the property passed to his son and later to the Clinker brothers, an English family who had settled in Bologna to trade textiles. In 1804, following Napoleon’s blockade of the maritime routes, the Clinkers were forced to suspend their business and sold the house to Filippo Marmani, an ancestor of the current owners, who are now committed to preserving the building’s historic and monumental features.
Of particular interest are the decorations and stuccoes by Gaetano Lollini, an artist active in Bologna during the first half of the eighteenth century. His work was recorded by the historian Marcello Oretti, who described the lower loggia decorated with the Four Cardinal Virtues, as well as the staircase adorned with a medallion depicting the Madonna, Child Jesus and Saint Joseph, together with sculpted cherubs.
Casa Graziani thus preserves, through Torreggiani’s architecture and Lollini’s decorations, a remarkable testimony to the elegance and artistic culture of eighteenth-century Bologna.

Located right in the heart of Bologna, the apartment is surrounded by bars, cafés, restaurants, and all essential amenities. It is just a short walk from the city's main attractions. The train station is also within easy reach, and nearby Via Irnerio offers numerous bus connections to all areas of the city.
